How It Works
Our Design-Build Remodeling Process
We run every Burbank remodel through the same clear sequence, so you always know what comes next and what you are approving. Design and construction sit with the same two owners the whole way, from the first look at your Magnolia Park bungalow or postwar ranch to the last inspection. Here is how a kitchen, bath, ADU or whole-home project moves — step by step.
How It Works
How a Burbank Remodel Comes Together
- 1
Submit an inquiry or call
Tell us the project you're thinking about — a rough idea is all we need to start.
- 2
We come to the house
One owner walks the home, takes measurements, and talks the plan through with you.
- 3
We design it with the architect
Drawings and a 3D design you sign off on before anything is ordered.
- 4
Permit and planning approval
We take the plans through the right building department for your address.
- 5
We begin the build
Demolition and rough-in, inspections, then cabinetry, tile and finishes.
- 6
Phased payments as milestones are met
You pay in stages against completed milestones, not everything up front.
Step by Step
What Each Step Involves
Submit an inquiry or call
Pick up the phone and call (747) 350-1456, answered around the clock, or send the quote form with a short note on what you want done. Nothing is quoted on the spot and there's no obligation — the aim is for us to understand the house, the rooms in scope and your timeline before setting up a visit.
We come to the house
We visit, walk the space, take the measurements the design is built from, and listen to how you want the finished kitchen, bath or addition to work. Burbank's older ranch and bungalow stock tends to hide surprises behind the plaster, so anything the house or the lot will affect — a bearing wall, a setback on an ADU, a Title 24 trigger — is raised right here.
We design it with the architect
The layout is worked up as drawings and a 3D design with the architect, so you can see the finish selections and the flow of the rooms before committing. The written scope is built at the same time — with one design-build team, the people who drew and priced the job are the people who build it, so the plan you approve is what gets delivered.
Permit and planning approval
We submit the drawings and carry them through plan check — the City of Burbank Building Division for Burbank addresses, or LADBS and Glendale's own office for North Hollywood, Toluca Lake and Glendale work — with Title 24 documented up front. The permit is secured before demolition, not left to hold the job up later.
We begin the build
Once the permit is issued, one team runs the project: protecting the lived-in areas, demolition, framing and rough-in for plumbing, electrical and mechanical, the inspections at each stage, then the finishes — cabinetry, countertops, tile, fixtures and lighting — built to the approved drawings and the agreed scope.
Phased payments as milestones are met
Payments are scheduled against milestones as they are finished and signed off, so what you pay tracks the real progress of the work. That schedule is written into the agreement before anything is demolished, and the scope you approved is the scope that gets built and billed.
